CITY MGRT RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive and Accept Presentation from the Friends of Carrillo Ranch on Art and California History. ITEM EXPLANATION: The City Council provides an opportunity for citizens and organizations to have an item placed on a City Council Agenda by submitting a letter to the City Manager. Attached is a letter (Exhibit I), from Bonnie Dominguez, Secretary, of the Friends of Carrillo Ranch, requesting that they be allowed to make a presentation in conjunction with National Historic Preservation Week on Art and California History. The Friends of Carrillo Ranch have made this same presentation to local Fourth grade classes. FISCAL IMPACT: None EXHIBITS: 1. We would like to make a 10 minute presentation on this year’s Art & California History program which has been presented to the local fourth grade classes in Carlsbad, and also show the Council Members some of the outstanding art work from the students. The presentation will be made by Mr. Gene Chartier, our School Program Coordinator, along with Wendy Woolf, who has conducted the art instruction portion of our program in the classrooms. Would you please advise our Board President, Mr. Alan Kindle (438-1666), if this time is available for our presentation. Thank you.
