That the City Council, by motion, authorize a closed session to discuss the acquisition,
including price and terms of payment, or potential acquisition of real property known as “the
Palomar Transfer Station” and a portion of “the Carlsbad Raceway” and more specifically
known as:
Lease of Palomar Transfer Station
Property Owner: County of San Diego
Lessee: Allied Waste
Negotiators: Jim Ambroso and Bud Chase

Location: 5960 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, 92008
Acres: 10.975
Lease/Purchase of portion of Carlsbad Racewav
Property Owner: Raceway Properties LLC/Kurtin Properties & Management Co.

I move that the City Council hold a closed session pursuant to Government Code section
54956.8 to instruct its negotiators (Assistant City Manager Frank Mannen, Bob Hilton,
Administrative Manager Clint Phillips, Management Analyst Julie Ross) regarding price and
terms of payment for purchase, sale, exchange or lease.
