2000-2001 GOAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the staff presentation on the 2000-2001 Goal Accomplishments.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In August of 2000, Staff reported to the City Council the various City Goals for the Fiscal
Year (FY) 2000-2001. These goals were developed through numerous workshops with both
the Council and staff in which the city’s strategic priorities were set. These Council priorities
provide staff with a direction in which to focus on for the coming year.
For FY 2000-2001, there were more than 180 goals that the organization focused on to help
achieve the four strategic goals that were developed by Council in January 2000.
Staff will make a presentation reviewing our proposed efforts and highlight some of the
significant accomplishments for the year.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Council’s approval of the 2000-2001 operating and capital budgets provided the
necessary funding to accomplish the goals outlined by staff.
