ITEM EXPLANATION:
Frank Whitton was originally appointed in July, 1998 and has served three
years.
Robert Mertz was originally appointed in December, 2000 and has served six
months.
Other members are: James A. Courtney, Keith Gillfillan, and Jerome Schall.
NOTE: Members of the Traffic Safety Commission are subject to the
requirements of the Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of
Economic Interest.

CARLSBAD, CALIFORIIIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO
THE CARLSBAD TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the term of Frank Whitton expires in July, 2001;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following person is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the Carlsbad
Traffic Safety Commission for a term to expire in July, 2005:
