Adopt Resolution No. c!xxw-253 accepting a donation of $2,500
from the Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club through The Carlsbad Library Foundation,
appropriating the funds and directing an appropriate letter of thanks.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club through The Carlsbad Library Foundation has donated
$2,500 to the Carlsbad City Library for the support of the 2001 Summer Reading Program.
The funds are appropriated to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund (145-4010-7899).

RESOLUTION NO. 2001-253
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING A GIFT OF $2,500 FROM THE CARLSBAD HI-NOON
ROTARY CLUB THROUGH THE CARLSBAD LIBRARY FOUNDATION
AND APPROPRIATING DONATION TO THE LIBRARY GIFTS AND
BEQUESTS FUND.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad HI-Noon Rotary Club through The Carlsbad Library
-oundation has donated $2,500 to the library, and;
WHEREAS, the library and the Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club have agreed that
his donation will be used in support of the 2001 Summer Reading Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Zarlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $2,500 from the Carlsbad Hi-Noon
Rotary Club on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates
these funds to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund (145-4010-7899).
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
