DEPT. ENG PROJECT NO. 35191 CITY MGR.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 8$?001 -a!?!/ accepting the construction of the Seawall Stairway
Repair, Project No. 35191, as complete, and directing the City Clerk to record a Notice
of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On February 20, 2001, American Restoration & Construction was awarded a contract in
the amount of $35,160 for construction of the Seawall Stairway Repair project.
American Restoration & Construction completed the work on June 22, 2001. City
forces have inspected said work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends
formal acceptance of the improvements by the City Council.

RESOLUTION NO. 2001-259
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE SEAWALL STAIRWAY REPAIR, PROJECT NO. 35191.
WHEREAS, the construction of the Seawall Stairway Repair has been satisfactoril\
completed by American Restoration & Construction; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the Seawall Stairway Repair, specifically identified as
Project No. 35191, is deemed complete and is herebyaccepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute
the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
4. That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad Cil
Council held on the 2lstday of Ausust , 2001 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Nygaard, Finnila, and Hall .
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
