RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution NOS. &XX- a40 , m 1 -aq 1 , and a&31 -Jci(& appointing three
members to serve on the Design Review Board..
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The composition of the Design Review Board, in accordance with Chapter 2.26 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code, consists of: two (2) Planning Commissioners, one (1) Village Redevelopment
Area property owner, one (1) Village Redevelopment Area business owner, and one (1) general
member. All members of the Design Review Board must also be residents of the City of
Carlsbad.
The term of Sarah Marquez expires in October, 2001. Ms. Marquez was appointed in April,
1998, and has served on the Board for three years as a Village Redevelopment Area Property
Owner.
The term of Harriet Marois expires in October, 200 1, Ms. Marois was appointed in April, 1998
and has served on the Board for three years as a General Member.
The term of Courtney Heineman expires in October, 2001. Mr. Heineman was appointed in
May of 1999 and has served on the Board for two years as a member of the Planning
Commission.
Current members of the Design Review Board are: Bill Compas and Tony Lawson.
NOTE: Members of the Design Review Board are subject to the provisions of the
Political Reform Act, and must file Statements of Economic Interests.
EXHIBITS:
1. Resolution No. 200 /- &‘qo , Jo0 l-g?/, and &&%I-&?p&ppointing three members
to the Design Review Board, as a Village Redevelopment Area business owner.
2. Copies of applications received in calendar year 2001.
