I RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. XX3 I - 300 approving the fjnal map for Carlsbad Tract CT 99-20,
Lot 10 - Carlsbad Airport Center, and authorizing the City Clerk to process the map for
recordation.

ITEM EXPLANATION:
Engineering staff has completed checking the final map of Carlsbad Tract CT 99-20, known as
Lot 10 - Carlsbad Airport Center. This subdivision is within Local Facilities Management Plan
(LFMP) Zone 5 and is generally located north of Palomar Airport Road and west of Owens
Avenue. The project proposes a total of 6 lots.
The final map conforms substantially with the tentative map as approved by Planning
Commission on May 17, 2000 per PC Resolution Nos. 4766, 4767, 4768. The final map also
conforms to the General Plan, all the applicable requirements of the Municipal Code, City
Standards, and Growth Management Plan. The applicant, Buie Carlsbad Lot 10, LLC, a
California limited liability company, is requesting the recordation of said final map.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The developer pays a plan check fee to cover the expense of plan checking and processing the
final map for recording. There is no fiscal impact to the City. All appropriate fees will be paid if
and when building permits are issued for this project.

2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FINAL MAP FOR
CARLSBAD TRACT CT 99-20, LOT 10 - CARLSBAD AIRPORT
4 CENTER, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO PROCESS
THE FINAL MAP FOR RECORDATION.

WHEREAS, Buie Carlsbad Lot 10, LLC, a California limited liability company has submitted a
final map known as Carlsbad Tract CT 99-20, Lot 10 - Carlsbad Airport Center, to the City of
7 Carlsbad for approval; and
8 WHEREAS, the tentative map of Carlsbad Tract CT 99-20 with conditions, was approved by
9 Planning Commission on May 17, 2000 per PC Resolution Nos. 4766, 4767, 4768; and
10 ‘WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that said map substantially conforms to said
11 conditionally approved tentative map; and
12 WHEREAS, the conditions of approval for said final map have been completed or
secured; and 13
WHEREAS, the developer has offered public easements for dedication to the City of
14
Carlsbad; and

WHEREAS, the final map conforms to the City of Carlsbad General Plan and all
requirements of City Codes and Standards; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad determined it to be in the public interest
1s to approve said final map; and
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
20 California, as iollows:
21 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
22 2. That said final map known as Carlsbad Tract CT 99-20, Lot 10 - Carlsbad Airport
23 Center, which is on file with the City Engineer and is incorporated herein by reference, is accepted.
3. That the City accepts the dedications shown on the final map.
24 4. That the City Clerk is authorized to sign the Certificate of Acceptance on the
25 final map.
26 5. That the City Clerk is authorized to cause the original final map be recorded in the
27 Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, State of California.

6. That the City Clerk is authorized to release the final map to Chicago Title Insurance
Company for recording in the Office of the County Recorder.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 25th day of September , 2001 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, and Hall.
NOES: None.
