FIN I JUNE 30,200l RECOMMENDED ACTION: Presentation only. ITEM EXPLANATION: Agenda bill 16,325 was previously presented to the City Council, and included the Financial Status Report for June 30, 2001. This report summarized the City of Carlsbad’s General fund revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year, as well as the Water and Sanitation Enterprises and the Redevelopment Agency. As noted during that report, the City’s audit is underway, and should be completed by the end of September 2001. In December 2001, the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) will be available. This report will discuss in greater detail all the funds maintained by the City. This report will also highlight the significant events and accomplishments during the year, provide statistical comparisons, and insight into the City’s current financial position. The presentation will provide an overview of revenues received and the projects accomplished over the past year. A more detailed review of these revenues and expenditures, as well as trend analysis for these funds can be found in the City’s 2000-01 CAFR to be issued in a couple of months. FISCAL IMPACT: The financial status of all City of Carlsbad funds can be found in the 2000-O Annual Financial Report, which will be available in December 2001.
