RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-600 amending Section 2.08.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code
to adjust the compensation of the City Clerk.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-600 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
October 9, 2001. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-600
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING SECTION
2.08.030 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO
ADJUST THE COMPENSATION OF THE CITY CLERK
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That section 2.08.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
“2.08.030 Compensation of the Citv Clerk.
(a) The compensation of the City Clerk is fixed at the sum of $800 (eight
hundred dollars) per month, payable bi-weekly.
(b) In addition, the City Clerk shall receive an automobile allowance as
established by resolution of the City Council.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its
adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad
within fifteen days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad
City Council on the 9th day of OCTOBER ,2001, and thereafter
