RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. &@ I- 3 30 , adjusting the City Clerk’s monthly auto allowance.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
At its meeting of October 9, 2001, the City Council directed the City Attorney to prepare a
resolution adjusting the auto allowance of the City Clerk. The attached resolution increases
the auto allowance from $100 per month to $200 per month reflecting the increased amount
of travel necessitated by the Clerk in the necessary performance of her duties and is a fair
and reasonable reimbursement for the actual expenses incurred.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact resulting from this action will be an increase in the auto allowance for the
City Clerk of $100 per month for an annual increase of $1,200.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW:
This amendment is not a project under CEQA pursuant to Public Resources Code section
21065 and not subject to further review.

RESOLUTION NO. 2001-320
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, INCREASING THE CITY
CLERK’S MONTHLY AUTOMOBILE ALLOWANCE
WHEREAS, the Office of the City Clerk is established by Title 2, Chapter
2.08 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the performance of the City Clerk’s duties reflects increased
travel necessitated by the increase in the travel between City facilities; and
WHEREAS, the increase is a fair and reasonable reimbursement for the
actual expenses incurred in the performance of the duties required by this office,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Clerk shall receive an automobile allowance of $200 per
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 16th day of OCTOBER , 2001 by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard, Hall
NOES: None
