NS-608 REPEALING A PORTION OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING ON STREETS (MCA 01-04) DEPT. HD. .: CITY ATTY. CITY MGR RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Ordinance No. NS-608 repealing a portion of Title 10, Chapter 10.40, Section 10.40.015 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code. ITEM EXPLANATION: Ordinance No. NS-608 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on October 23, 2001. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within fifteen days, if adopted. Ns-6cs AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING A PORTION OF TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.40, SECTION 10.40.015 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE. CASE NAME: REPEAL OF PORTIONS OF CHAPTER 10.40 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE CASE NO.: MCA 01-04 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION I: That a portion of Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is repealed. The amended Section 10.40.015 reads as follows: Title 10 VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC Chapter 10.40 STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING 10.40.015 Prohibited purposes for parking on roadway. (a) No person shall stand or park any commercial vehicle on any street for the purpose of loading or unloading any merchandise or goods except in authorized loading zones as provided in Section 10.40.085 (b) No person shall stand or park any vehicle on any street for the purpose of washing, greasing or repairing the vehicle, except for repairs necessitated by an emergency. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in a publication of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
