WRED n w > 0 a a a 6 2 C F c 4 - E z 2 - c RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2002-Ua2 appointing members to the City's Community Development Block GranVHOME Investment Partnership Funding Advisory Committee. ITEM EXPLANATION: The City receives federal funds to assist low and moderate income families and individuals through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs. The Citizen Participation Plan required for Carlsbad's CDBGlHOME Program specifies the formation of a seven member Funding Advisory Committee to make recommendations regarding funding allocations to the City Council. The Citizen Participation Plan further specifies that the City Council appoint seven members to the Committee with the following representation: one Housing Commissioner, one Planning Commissioner, one Senior Commissioner, and four citizens-at-large, one from each quadrant of the City. The City Council appointed George Weber as representative from the Senior Commission and Peggy Savary as representative from the Southeast Quadrant for two year terms on December 12,2000. All other Advisory Committee Members from the 2001 -2002 Program Year have completed their two year terms. The Mayor has requested and received the following recommendations for appointment to the Committee from Members of the City Council, Housing Commission, and Planning Commission. Planning Commission Julie Baker Housing Commission Renee Huston Northwest Quadrant Norine Sigafoose Northeast Quadrant Ewell OBrian Southwest Quadrant Dick Erhardt Staff recommends that Council adopt the attached Resolution confirming the appointment of George Weber and Peggy Savary as members on the Committee, and appointing the above as five new members to the Committee for two year terms. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2.
