ITEM EXPLANATION: The term of Bill Compas expired in April, 2001. Mr. Compas was originally appointed in May, 1994, was reappointed in June, 1997, and has served seven years. The term of Robert Nielsen expired in April, 2001. Mr. Nielson was originally appointed in May, 1994, was reappointed in June, 1997, and has served seven years. In accordance with Section 2.24.020 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members are appointed by a majority vote of the City Council; and in accordance with Section 2.08.090 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members must be residents of the City and registered voters. Two appointees will serve four year terms, which shall expire in April, 2005. Other members of the Planning Commission are: Julie Baker, Bill Dominguez, Courtney Heineman, Seena Trigas and Jeff Segall. He has been responsible for the marketing and sales of guard services, bank courier services, investigative services in San Diego, Orange and Riverside Counties. In addition to his sales and marketing responsibilities, Jim has served as account executive with the San Diego Trolley. In that capacity he assisted with personnel recruitment and staffing; insured oflicer levels as per the contract and acted as liaison between Trolley Management and Heritage.
