APPOINTMENT TO THE CARLSBAD COMMUNITY CABLE
TELEVISION FOUNDATION APPOINTMENTS I CITY ATTY.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
4dopt Resolution No. 2002- 07 b appointing one member to the Board of Directors for
the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Cable Television.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of Robert Turner expired in January, 2001. Mr. Turner was originally appointed in
March, 1993.
The other Council appointed Directors are Nicole Pappas, Ralph Marchioni, James Bradley
and Don Polese.
FISCAL IMPACT: None

MEMBER TO THE FOUNDATION OF CARLSBAD
COMMUNITY CABLE TELEVISION
WHEREAS, the term of Robert Turner expired in January, 2001;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of 9

Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct
2. That the following person is hereby appointed to serve as a member of
the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Cable Television
for a term expiring January, 2005:

Dear Mayor Lewis,
from the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Community
I am writing to let you know that I will be resigning
Television Foundation after the next meeting on
January 10,2002. My second four year term ended in
January of last year. Because Bob Sheppard, another
long term board member, came to the end of his term at
the same time, I have stayed on as interim Chair for
the last twelve months to give you and Ramona Finnila
time to find and appoint two new members and also to
insure continuity across a period of transition.
Now, because family and business obligations have both
increased dramatically over the last year, I'm afraid
I need to ask you to go forward with my replacement.
My nine years on the CCTV Board have been rewarding.
I have truly enjoyed the experience and the
opportunity to serve the city.
