RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2002- 07% appointing one member to
the Library Board of Trustees.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Charlene Baron submitted her resignation from the Library Board
of Trustees effective January 1, 2002. She leaves a term expiring
in June 2002.
Other members are: Karen Gleason Huss, Jerry Tarman, William
Kamenjarin and Laurie Page. No other terms expire in 2002.
NOTE: Members of the Library Board of Trustees are
subject to the requirements of the Political
Reform Act, and must file a Statement of
Economic Interest.

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO
THE LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, Charlene Baron, whose term expires in June, 2002, has resigned effective
January 1,2002;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following person is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the Library Board
of Trustees for a term which shall expire in June, 2002:

Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2002. I have served in It is with regret that I tender my resignation from the Library
this capacity since my appointment in 1998 and have very much enjoyed serving in this capacity. However, because of the press
of my personal and professional duties, I find that I can no.
longer serve the needs of the constituency of the Library without a diminution of the time and energy I am able to devote. It is
