RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Receive presentation from Cal State San Marcos Social Behavioral Research Institute
(SBRI) on the results of the citywide public opinion survey.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In Summer 2001, the City contracted with the Cal State San Marcos SBRI to perform the
citywide public opinion survey. This survey was conducted in the fall of 2001, with the draft
results reported at the City Council goal workshop in January 2001. At that workshop, staff
requested to conduct a follow-up presentation to the Council at one of their regularly
scheduled meetings.
The survey interviewed over 1000 Carlsbad residents and the results are broken down by
quadrant as well as the city as a whole.
