RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Receive presentation from Friends of Carrillo Ranch regarding the 2002 Best-of-Class
student-artists.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The City Council provides an opportunity for citizens and organizations to have an item
placed on a City Council Agenda by submitting a letter to the City Manager. Attached is a
letter (Exhibit 1) from the Friends of Carrillo Ranch requesting that they be allowed to
present the Best-of-Class student artists for 2002. The presenters will be Gene Chartier
and Wendy Woolf.

You may recall that last May City Council was kind enough to

If approval is likely we are hopeful you can give us as much
advance notice as possible so that we can communicate this information early enough to maximize the attendance by interested parties. It is quite a time-consuming project to get in touch with each of the artists and their parents.
National Historic Preservation Week. The May 14th date is significant because it falls during
