RECOMMENDED ACTION:
That the City Council, by motion, authorize a closed session to discuss the acquisition,
including price and terms of payment, or potential acquisition of real property known as “the
Palomar Transfer Station” and a portion of “the Carlsbad Raceway” and more specifically
known as:
Lease/Purchase of Palomar Transfer Station
Property Owner: County of San Diego
Lessee: City of Carlsbad
Negotiators: Rick Jenkins (County of San Diego)
APN Number: 97-0085-AI
Location: 5960 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, 92008
Acres: 10.975
I move that the City Council hold a closed session pursuant to Government Code section
54956.8 to instruct its negotiators (Assistant City Manager Frank Mannen, Community
Development Director Sandy Holder, and Economic Development Manager Cynthia Haas)
regarding price and terms of payment for purchase, sale, exchange or lease.
