Barnhart, Inc. $14,130,815 The Engineer's Estimate was $13,100,000. The apparent low bidder requested to withdraw its bid due to a material clerical error. The remaining three bids significantly exceed the Engineer's Estimate. The City has recently acquired the Farmers Building and is currently performing a study to evaluate the space, siting and adjacency needs for the City. In order to completely address the City's future requirements, this study would need to consider all departments, including Public Works. The study will help in determining if the proposed Public Works Center helps achieve the ultimate needs for the City. Upon completion of the study, a determination could be made as to whether to proceed with the Public Works Center as designed.
