CM RECOMMENDED ACTION: DEPT. HD. CITY ATTY. CITY MGR Receive and accept update from Carlsbad's Emergency Management Team (CEMAT). ITEM EXPLANATION: The City of Carlsbad has an established Emergency Management Team (CEMAT) that is comprised of members from the different Major Service Areas of the City organization. CEMAT's role is to help prepare and train the organization in case of disaster, and to assist in the effectiveness of the Emergency Operation Center. CEMAT will make a presentation to the City Council regarding various activities that have been in progress for the past 24 months as well as future actions that the team is planning on.
