NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
2000101 STREET SEALING PROJECT CITY ATTY. @
PROJECT NO. 3667-3
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. accepting the construction of the 2000/01 Street Sealing project,
Project No. 3667-3, and directing the City Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release
bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.

ITEM EXPLANATION:
On May 1, 2001, American Asphalt was awarded a contract in the amount of $664,049 for
construction of the 2000/01 Street Sealing project.
American Asphalt completed the street sealing work on March 21, 2002. City forces have
inspected said work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance of the
street sealing work by the City Council.

RESOLUTION NO. 2002-295
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE 2000/01 STREET SEALING PROJECT, PROJECT NO.
WHEREAS, the construction of the 2000/01 Street Sealing project has been satisfactorily
:ompleted; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
>alifornia, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the 2000/01 Street Sealing project, specifically identified
3s Project No. 3667-3, is deemed complete and hereby accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute
he Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
4. That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
reld on the 8th day of OCTOBER , 2002 by the following vote, to wit:
