APPOINTMENT
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2002-163 appointing one member to the Carlsbad Arts Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On June 4, 2002 Council was presented with Resolution No. 163 and Resolution No. 164
making two appointments to the Arts Commission. Resolution No. 164 was adopted at that
time reappointing Felicia Shaw. However, Resolution No. 163 was continued.
The term of George Willis expired in March 2002. Mr. Willis was originally appointed in
1993 and has served nine years.
Other members of the Commission are: Bill Lignante, Susan Pynes, Jeri Held, Gary Hill,
Scott Rutledge and Felicia Shaw.
NOTE: Members of the Carlsbad Arts Commission are subject to the requirements of the
Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interests.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS
TO THE CARLSBAD ARTS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the term of George Willis expired in March 2002;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City o
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
3. That the above recitations are true and correct.
4 . That the following person is hereby appointed to serve as a member of tht
Carlsbad Arts Cornmis'sion for a term which expires in March, 2006:

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 3rd day of DECEMBER , 2002 by the following vote, to wit:
