CT 99-03, VILLAGES OF LA COSTA, THE GREENS,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO PROCESS THE
MAP FOR RECORDATION
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2003-007 approving the final map for CT 99-03, The Villages of
La Costa -The Greens, and authorizing the City Clerk to process the map for recordation.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Engineering staff has completed checking the final map of CT 99-03, known as The Villages of
La Costa - The Greens. This subdivision is within Local Facilities Management Plan (LFMP)
Zone 10 and is generally located on the east side of El Camino Real , north of Alga Road and on
both sides of the eastern extension of Poinsettia Lane. The project proposes a total of 49 lots.
The lots are comprised of 15 lots for residential development, 27 open space lots, 4 recreation lots,
further subdivided as identified in the Master Plan for this project.
I industrial lot, 1 community facility lot, and 1 public park lot. 14 of the 15 residential lots will be
The final map conforms substantially with the tentative map as approved by City Council on
October 23, 2001, per City Council Resolution No. 2001-318. The final map also conforms to the
General Plan, all the applicable requirements of the Municipal Code, City Standards, and Growth
Management Plan. The applicant, Real Estate Collateral Management Co., is requesting the
recordation of said final map.
FISCAL IMPACT
The developer pays a plancheck fee to cover the expense of planchecking and processing the final
map for recording. There is no fiscal impact to the City. All appropriate fees will be paid if and when
building permits are issued for this project.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FINAL MAP FOR
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO PROCESS THE
FINAL MAP FOR RECORDATION.
CT 99-03, THE VILLAGES OF LA COSTA - THE GREENS,
WHEREAS, Morrow Development, has submitted a final map known as CT 99-03,
The Villages of La Costa -The Greens, to the City of Carlsbad for approval; and
WHEREAS, the tentative map of CT 99-03, with conditions, was approved by City Council
on October 23,2001, per City Council Resolution No. 2001 -318; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that said map substantially conforms to
said conditionally approved tentative map; and
WHEREAS, the conditions of approval for said final map have been completed or
secured; and
WHEREAS, the developer has offered public easements for dedication to the City of
Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the final map conforms to the City of Carlsbad General Plan and all
requirements of City Codes and Standards; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
'1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That said final map known as CT 99-03, The Villages of La Costa-The Greens,
which is on file with the City Engineer and is incorporated herein by reference, is accepted.
3. That the City accepts the dedications shown on the final map.
4. That the City Clerk is authorized to sign the Certificate of Acceptance on the
final map.

5. That the City Clerk is authorized to release the final map to Chicago Title Company
