Seena Trigas Planning Commissioner, City of Carlsbad 6530 Flamenco Street Carlsbad, CA. 92009 November 20,2002 Mayor Bud Lewis City of Carlsbad 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive . Carlsbad, CA 92008 RE: Resignation from the Planning Commission Dear Mayor Lewis: Due to personal circumstances and carrying two jobs, I find it difficult to devote the time that is needed to do justice to the job as Planning Commissioner. This has been a difficult decision for me, but I know you can appreciate the workload of teaching both at the high school and college level while still trying to take care of family needs. I would like to thank you and the Council for your confidence in my ability to contribute to the city over these many years. As Library Trustee and member of various city committees, I have gained a deep appreciation of the impact that one can make as an involved citizen. There are political science books and urban planning manuals that focus on the organizational characteristics of quality cities. They often overlook the major aspect that a city is only as effecthe as, the people who are willing to take on the city’s leadership. I applaud the positive, cooperative spirit that you and the Council have engendered; “What is good for Cafisbad” and not personal agendas is the understood “rule” in commissioner participation. With sincere appreciation for the opportunity given to me for serving my community, 1 officially resign as of the last Planning Commission meeting in December. Respectfully, Seena Trigas NAMUS) OF BOARD@) AND/OR COMMISSION(S) IN WHICH INTERESTED: Hrrusina- . . , .. ., inu Conmission. Desiqn Review Board NAME: David J.
