CITY MGR RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No, 2003- 080 and Resolution No. 2003- 081 appointing two members to the Planning Commission. ITEM EXPLANATION: The term of Jeff Segall expires in April 2003. Mr. Segall was originally appointed in March 1999 and has served four years. Marty Montgomery was originally appointed in February 2003 to fill an unexpired term to April 2003. In accordance with Section 2.24.020 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members are appointed by a majority vote of the City Council; and in accordance with Section 2.08.090 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members must be residents of the City and registered voters. Other members of the Planning Commission are: Julie Baker, Bill Dominguez, Courtney Heineman, Melissa White and Frank Whitton. NOTE: Members of the Planning Commission are subject to the Political Reform Act and must file Statements of Economic Interests. EXHIBITS: 1.
