RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2003-191 accepting the construction of Camino Vida Roble and
El Camino Real Improvements, Project Nos. 3812 & 3643, as complete, and directing the City
Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and
City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
On July 9, 2002, HMS Construction, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $301,089 for the
construction of Camino Vida Roble and El Camino Real Improvements, Project No. 381 2.
HMS Construction, Inc. completed the street improvement work on March 7, 2003. City staff has
inspected the work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance of the
street improvements by the City Council.

RESOLUTION NO. 2003-191
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CAMINO VlDA ROBLE AND EL CAMINO REAL IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NOS. 3812 & 3643.
WHEREAS, the construction of Camino Vida Roble and El Camino Real Improvements
vas completed to the City's satisfaction by HMS Construction, Inc. on March 7, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
;alifornia, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of Camino Vida Roble and El Camino Real Improvements,
ipecifically identified as Project Nos. 3812 & 3643, is deemed complete and is hereby accepted
iy the City Council of the City of Carlsbad.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute
,nd record the Notice of Completion for construction of Camino Vida Roble and El Camino Real
nprovements, Project Nos. 381 2 & 3643.
4. That the City Clerk is directed to release all bonds on Project Nos. 3812 & 3643 in
ccordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
