RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2003-193 accepting the construction of the Traffic Signal
at Aviara Parkway and Kingfisher Lane, Project No. 3369-2AI as complete, and directing
the City Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with
State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On March 5, 2002, T&M Electric, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of
$108,000 for the construction of the Traffic Signal at Aviara Parkway and Kingfisher
Lane, Project No. 3369-2A.
T&M Electric, Inc. completed the signal improvement work on December 12, 2002. City
staff has inspected the work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal
acceptance of the improvements by the City Council.

RESOLUTION NO. 2003-193
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT AVIARA PARKWAY AND KINGFISHER LANE, PROJECT NO. 3369-2A.
WHEREAS, the construction of the Traffic Signal at Aviara and Kingfisher Lane has
been completed to the City's satisfaction by T&M Electric, Inc. on December 12, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the construction of the Traffic Signal at Aviara Parkway and Kingfisher Lane,
specifically identified as Project No. 3369-2A, is deemed complete and is hereby accepted by
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
execute and record the Notice of Completion for the construction of the Traffic Signal at
Aviara Parkway and Kingfisher Lane, Project No. 3369-2A.
4. That the City Clerk is directed to release all bonds on Project No. 3369-2A in
accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council held on the 15thday of JULY , 2003 by the following vote, to wit:
