On March 11, 2003, American Asphalt South, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of
$378,985 for the construction of the 2002/03 Street Sealing Project, Project No. 3667-6.

American Asphalt South, Inc. completed the street improvement work on July 16, 2003. City staff
has inspected the work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance of
the improvements by the City Council.

RESOLUTION NO. 2003-232
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE 2002/03 STREET SEALING PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 3667-6.
WHEREAS, the construction of the 2002/03 Street Sealing Project has been completed to
the City's satisfaction by American Asphalt South, Inc. on July 16, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the 2002103 Street Sealing Project, specifically identified as
'roject No. 3667-6, is deemed complete and is hereby accepted by the City Council of the City of
Sarls bad.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute
and record the Notice of Completion for the construction of the 2002/03 Street Sealing Project,
'roject No. 3667-6.
4. That the City Clerk is directed to release all bonds on Project No. 3667-6 in
iccordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
