RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-672 amending Title 10, Chapter 10.40, of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the addition of Section 10.40.128 declaring a no parking zone on the north side of
Cassia Road from Poinsettia Lane to its intersection with El Camino Real.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-672 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
September 9, 2003. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance,
which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance
published within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
See Agenda Bill No. 17,305 on file with the City Clerk.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-672
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.40, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 10.40.128 TO DECLARE A NO PARKING ZONE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CASSIA ROAD FROM POINSETTIA LANE
TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH EL CAMINO REAL.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by
the addition of 10.40.128 to read as follows:
“10.40.128 Parking Restricted on Cassia Road.
There will be no parking on the north side of Cassia Road from
Poinsettia Lane to its intersection with El Camino Real.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and
