In August of 2002, Staff reported to the City Council the various City Goals for the Fiscal
Year (FY) 2002-2003. These goals were developed through numerous workshops with both
the Council and staff in which the city’s strategic priorities were set. These Council priorities
provide staff with a direction in which to focus on for the coming year.
For FY 2002-2003, there were more than 130 goals that the organization focused on to help
achieve the nine strategic goals that were developed by Council in January 2002. Staff will
highlight significant accomplishments or efforts that occurred during the 2002/03-goal cycle.
