RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-673 amending Section 21.05.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code
by an amendment to the City’s Zoning Map to grant a Zone Change, ZC 02-04, from L-C to
P-C; and from L-C to RMHP on a 5.7-acre portion on the Robertson Ranch property
generally located East of El Camino Real between Tamarack Avenue and future Cannon
Road in Local Facilities Management Zone 14.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-673 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
September 16, 2003. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance,
which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance
published within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
See Agenda Bill No. 17,309 on file with the City Clerk.

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 21.05.030
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AN
AMENDMENT TO THE CITY’S ZONING MAP TO GRANT A
ZONE CHANGE, ZC 02-04, FROM L-C TO P-C; AND FROM L-
C TO RMHP ON A 5.7-ACRE PORTION ON THE
ROBERTSON RANCH PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED
EAST OF EL CAMINO REAL BETWEEN TAMARACK
AVENUE AND FUTURE CANNON ROAD IN LOCAL
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT ZONE 14.

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That Section 21.050.30 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, being the
zoning map, is amended as shown on the map marked Exhibit “ZC 02-04‘’ attached hereto and
made a part hereof.
SECTION 11: That the findings and conditions of the Planning Commission as set
forth in Planning Commission Resolutions No. 5431 and 5432 on file in the Planning
Department constitute the findings and conditions of the City Council.
EFFECTIVEDATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty Cays after its
adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be
published at least once in a publication of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council on the 16th day of SEPTEMBER 2003, and thereafter.
