RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2004-047 accepting cash donations made to the Carrillo Ranch Fund
in the amount of $1230.65.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In 1990 the City Council set up a separate account to accept donations for Leo Carrillo Ranch
Historic Park.
The following individuals, groups, organizations, and anonymous contributors offered donations
of $1,230.65 in cash in support of Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park.

Anonymous Cash Donations
On January 07,2004, the Parks and Recreation Commission recommended that these donations
totaling $1230.65 be accepted by the City Council.
Letters of appreciation have been sent on behalf of the Recreation Department and the City of
Carlsbad to all individuals, groups, and organizations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $1230.65 in cash donations has been deposited into the Carrillo Ranch Fund.

RESOLUTION NO. 2004-047
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING DONATIONS OF $1230.65 IN CASH IN
SUPPORT OF THE CARRILLO RANCH FUND, LEO CARRILLO RANCH
HISTORIC PARK.
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the cash donations totaling $1230.65 in
support of the Carrillo Ranch Fund, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support of
individuals, groups, organizations, and anonymous contributors that donated to the Trust ; and
WHEREAS, on January 7, 2004 the Parks and Recreation Commission recommended
acceptance by the Council.of donations totaling $1230.65.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby accept $1230.65 in cash.
3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Finance Director to deposit the $1230.60 in donations into
the Carrillo Ranch Fund account.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on
the 17th dayof February ,2004 by the following vote, to wit:
