February 14,2004 Mr. Robert Johnson, Deputy City Engineer Transportation City of Carlsbad 163 5 Faraday Avenue Carlsbad, CA 92008 RECEIVED FEB 18 2004 ENGlOdEkNiNG DEPARTMENT Dear Bob, It is with regret that I will have to resign from the Traffic Safety Commission. Carol and I are going to relocate to French Valley, Riverside County which, of course, eliminates me &om the commission. It has been a pleasure for me to have served on the commission. You have always been most helpful in keeping the process going. Carlsbad is a very well run city and certainly those we have met in conjunction with operations of the traffic division are part of the reason for that success. I don’t see a reason for me to attend the next meeting. I’m sure Gordon will do a good job as chairman. I do have some materials that I will return as they cost money for the city and in most cases are still applicable. I’ll drop them by the Faraday location to your attention. Thanks for all your help! I
