Adopt Resolution No. 2004- 088 appointing one member to the Traffic Safety
Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Jerone Schall has resigned from the Traffic Safety Commission leaving an unexpired term.
The vacated term expires July, 2004.
Other members of the Traffic Safety Commission are: James Courtney, Gordon Cress,
Steve Dorsey and Susan Gardner.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE
TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Jerome Schall has resigned leaving an unexpired term that ends July, 2004,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:

Guy J. Koney, 111, has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment
Member (CCrrvl) designation by the CCIM Institute.
With nearly 25 years of experience, Roney has strong expertise in the real
estate field, including development and investments, acquisitions and
dispositions, feasibility analysis, project management, brokerage, financial
structuring and capital placement. A resident of Carlsbad, California, Roney
is a licensed California real estate broker. He holds a Bachelor of Arts

Dear Bob,
It is with regret that I will have to resign from the Traffic Safety Commission. Carol and I are
going to relocate to French Valley, Riverside County which, of course, eliminates me &om the
commission.
It has been a pleasure for me to have served on the commission. You have always been most
helpful in keeping the process going. Carlsbad is a very well run city and certainly those we have
met in conjunction with operations of the traffic division are part of the reason for that success.
I don’t see a reason for me to attend the next meeting. I’m sure Gordon will do a good job as
chairman. I do have some materials that I will return as they cost money for the city and in most
cases are still applicable. I’ll drop them by the Faraday location to your attention.
