City of Carlsbad

Dear Mayor Lewis,
remainder of a term of less than a year of someone who had been appointed to
the Planning Commission. In 2000, I was reappointed to a full four-year term.
During this time, I have fully participated and enjoyed both the responsibilities
and rewards of serving on the Library Board. I have attended conferences and
outside meetings, helped decide policy, and I currently serve as the Chairman.
My present term will expire in June and I would appreciate the opportunity to
serve one more four-year term. I am looking forward to the upcoming
challenges of the new Learning Center. The entire Board is excited about the
wonderful opportunity this affords our community.
In 1999, I was appointed to the Library Board of Trustees to fill out the
By the way, my husband and I attended the Carlsbad Citizens Academy
this past September and October and enjoyed it and really learned how the City
works and it made us both very proud to be citizens of Carlsbad.
