RECOMMENDED ACTION : Adopt Resolution No. 2004-178 accepting cash donations made to the Camllo Ranch Trust Fund in
DEPT.HD.,L&
the amount of $1,811.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
In 1990 the City Council established account #850-000-2749 to accept donations for Leo Carrillo Ranch
Historic Park.
The following individuals, groups, organizations, and anonymous contributors offered donations of $1,811
in cash in support of Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park.

CASH TOTAL = $1,81 I
Donations were generated in large part by guided tours of the ranch led by City staff and docents.
On April 19, 2004, the Parks and Recreation Commission recommended that these donations totaling
$1,811 be accepted by the City Council. Letters of appreciation have been sent on behalf of the
Recreation Department and the City of Carlsbad to all individuals, groups, and organizations.

FISCAL IMPACT: The $1,811 in cash donations has been deposited into the Carrillo Ranch Trust Fund account #850-000-
2749.

RESOLUTION NO. 2004-178
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING DONATIONS OF $1,811 IN CASH IN SUPPORT
OF THE CARRILLO RANCH TRUST FUND, LEO CARRILLO RANCH
HISTORIC PARK.
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the donations of cash donations totaling
$1,8 1 1 in support of the Carrillo Ranch Trust Fund, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support of
individuals, groups, organizations, and anonymous contributors that donated to the Trust ; and
WHEREAS, on April 19, 2004 the Parks and Recreation Commission received individual
donations totaling $1,811 and recommended acceptance by the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby accept $1,8 1 1 in cash.
3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Finance Director to appropriate the above funds, into the
following account: $1,811 into the Carrillo Ranch Trust Fund, account #850-000-2749.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on
the 8th dayof June ,2004 by the following vote, to wit:
