TAMARACK AVENUE FROM HARWICH DRIVE
TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH COLLEGE

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-706 establishing a 35 mile-per-hour speed limit upon Tamarack
Avenue from Harwich Drive to its intersection with College Boulevard.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-706 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
June 1, 2004. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
See Agenda Bill No. 17,650 on file with the City Clerk.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-706
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 10.44.300 TO ESTABLISH UPON TAMARACK AVENUE A PRIMA FACIE 35 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT FROM HARWICH DRIVE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH COLLEGE BOULEVARD.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
y the revision of Section 10.44.300 to read as follows:
“1 0.44.300 Tamarack Avenue.
(d) Upon Tamarack Avenue from Carlsbad Village Drive to its intersection with College Boulevard, the prima facie speed limit shall be thirty-five miles per hour.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and
ie City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be
ublished at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen
15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
1st day of June ,2004, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
