NS-710 AMENDING TITLE 20, CHAPTER 20.17 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING VESTING TENTATIVE MAPS CITY MGF RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Ordinance No. NS-710 amending Title 20, Section 20.17 of the to clarify the procedure for processing vesting tentative maps as required by the Subdivision Map Act. ITEM EXPLANATION: Ordinance No. NS-710 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on July 6, 2004. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within fifteen days, if adopted. NS-710 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 20, CHAPTER 20.17 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 20.17.020 REGARDING VESTING TENTATIVE MAPS The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does ordain as follows: SECTION I: That section 20.17.020 subsection (c) of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: "20.17.020 Filinq and arocessing. (c) In addition to the other information required by this title to be shown on or provided with a tentative map or tentative parcel map a vesting tentative map or vesting tentative parcel map shall show or be accompanied by the following information in a form satisfactory to the City Engineer and Planning Director: (1) Detailed lot lines and dimensions; (2) Detailed design and specifications for all public facilities, including, but not limited to, on-site and off-site sewer, water and drainage facilities; roads including final grades and alignment; and other on-site and off-site improvements; or other reports deemed necessary by the city engineer or planning director to permit a complete review of the design and improvements for the subdivision. The subdivider, for subdivisions over five units, shall also submit a fiscal impact report prepared by an independent economic analyst, analyzing the projected impacts the development will have on public facilities and services; the report shall include marketing information and a cost benefit analysis for the project; proposed finished grades at two-foot intervals; (3) Detailed geological, drainage, flood control, soils, traffic, (4) Detailed final grading plans showing existing and (5) Detailed landscape plans; (6) Detailed environmental information sufficient to permit assessment of all environmental effects of the project including cumulative and long-term effects. requirements;" (7) Information necessary to comply with State or Federal EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to Page 1 of 2 d- be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen days after its adoption.
