Adopt Resolution No. 2004- 2OO4-310 to appoint one member to the Arts Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Because Scott Rutledge no longer resides in Carlsbad, Mr. Rutledge may no longer serve as
a member of the Arts Commission. The term expires March 2005.
Other members of the Arts Commission are: Gary Hill, Ron Juncal, Barbara Iserloth, Felicia
Shaw, Rita Francis and Kelvin Okamoto.
NOTE: Members of the Arts Commission are subject to the provisions of the Political
Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interests.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE
ARTS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Board and Commission Members are required to live in
Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, Scott Rutledge no longer resides in Carlsbad, and is no longer eligible to
serve as a member of the Arts Commission; and
WHEREAS, a vacancy now exists on the Arts Commission, for a term expiring in March,
2005;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:

That the following person is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the Arts
Commission, to fill the remainder of a term expiring in March, 2005.
