Adopt Ordinance No. NS-726, amending Title 2, Chapter 2.08, of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code, by the amendment of Section 2.08.030 to adjust the compensation of the City Clerk.
TITLE: ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE TO ADJUST THE
COMPENSATION OF THE CITY CLERK
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-726 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
October 12, 2004. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING SECTION
2.08.030 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO
ADJUST THE COMPENSATION OF THE CITY CLERK
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That section 2.08.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
“2.08.030 Compensation of the Citv Clerk.
(a) Effective January 1, 2005, the compensation of the City Clerk is fixed
(b) In addition, the City Clerk shall receive an automobile allowance as
at the sum of $970 (nine hundred seventy dollars) per month, payable bi-weekly.

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its
adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad
within fifteen days after its adoption.
