Hw CITY ATTY.@ I RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2004-375 accepting a donation of four digital cameras, a photo printer, and accessories, to the Police Department from Creative Nail Design. ITEM EXPLANATION: Mr. John Heffner, President of Creative Nail Design, of Vista, California, has donated four Canon A80 digital cameras, a Canon 960 photo printer, and accessories, to the Carlsbad Police Department. Mr. Heffner, on behalf of Creative Nail Design, donated the equipment to be used by police personnel in their law enforcement and evidence collection duties. The donation is valued at approximately $1600. FISCAL IMPACT: None. EXHIBITS: 1. Department Contact: Dale Stockton (760) 93 1-2 13 1, dstoc@ci.carlsbad.ca.us I 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 la 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ~~ RESOLUTION NO. 2004-375 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM CREATIVE NAIL DESIGN TO THE CARLSBAD POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, Mr. John Heffner, President of Creative Nail Design of Vista, California, on behalf of Creative Nail Design, has donated four digital cameras, a photo printer, and accessories to the Carlsbad Police Department; and WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has determined that this equipment is compatible with existing police department equipment and can be used to further the efforts of law enforcement evidence documenting and collection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the City Council accepts the gift of cameras, photo printer and accessories for the police department. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 7 th day of December , 2004 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members .Lewiq, Finnila, Kulchin, Hall, and Packard.
