ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
STOP CONTROL ON RANCHO CORTES
TITLE:
ECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-741, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.28, of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the addition of Section 10.28.770 to require a stop at the intersection of Rancho
Cortes and Unicornio Street.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-741, was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
February 15,2005. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-741
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE A
STOP ON UNICORN10 STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH
RANCHO CORTES.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by
the addition of Section 10.28.770 to read as follows:
“10.28.770 Rancho Cortes. Drivers shall stop where the
following described street intersects Rancho Cortes:
Unicornio Street.’’
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and
the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be
published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
15th dayof February ,2005, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 1st day of MNu3-I , 2005 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Packard, Sigafoose
