STOP CONTROL ON ROMERIA STREET

qECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-742, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.28, of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the revision of Section 10.28.370 to require a stop at the intersection of Romeria
Street and Cadencia Street.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-742, was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
February 15,2005. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-742
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE A
STOP ON CADENCIA STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH
ROMERIA STREET.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by
the revision of Section 10.28.370 to read as follows:
“1 0.28.370 Romeria Street. Drivers shall stop where the following
described streets intersect Romeria Street:
Levante Street
Cadencia Street.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and
the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be
published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen
(1 5) days after its adoption.
