RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2005-063, to appoint one member to the Parks and Recreation
Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of Seth Schulberg expired in August 2004. Mr. Schulberg was originally appointed
on June 21, 1993 to fill an unexpired term and has served 11 years.
Other members of the Parks and Recreation Commission are: Jim Comstock, Jim Craig,
Marlaine Hubbard, Sally Lyons, and Leo Pacheco , Denny Cooper.
This appointment was previously scheduled for the Council Meeting of March 1, 2005 on
Agenda Bill 18,014. Council concurred to continue the appointment until all Council
Members had an opportunity to review the Mayor’s recommendation.
NOTE: Members of the Parks and Recreation Commission are subject to the
provisions of the Political Reform Act, and must tile a Statement of
Economic Interests, Form 700.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE
PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the term of Seth Schulberg expired in August, 2004;
WHEREAS, Seth Schulberg has served 11 years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following person is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the Parks
and Recreation Commission for a term to expire in August, 2008:
