RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-780 amending Section 21.05.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code
by an Amendment to the Zoning Map to grant a Zone Change, ZC 05-01, from Limited
Control to Office and Open Space on property in the Southeast Quadrant, generally located
on the Northeast corner of El Camino Real and Cassia Road in Local Facilities
Management Zone IO.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-780 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
December 13, 2005. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance,
which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance
published within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
See Agenda Bill No. 18,379 on file with the City Clerk.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 21.05.030 OF
THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AN AMENDMENT TO
FROM LIMITED CONTROL TO OFFICE AND OPEN SPACE ON
PROPERTY IN THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT GENERALLY
LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF EL CAMINO
REAL AND CASSIA ROAD IN LOCAL FACILITIES

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That Section 21.050.30 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, being the
zoning map, is amended as shown on the map marked Exhibit "ZC 05-01 ," dated November 2,
2005 attached hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION II: That the findings and conditions of the Planning Commission as set
forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 5979 constitute the findings and conditions of the
City Council.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its
adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be
published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation within fifteen days after its
adoption.
