RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2006-054 accepting a cash donation of four thousand dollars
($4,000) to benefit Carlsbad Senior Center programs.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Mr. Zigler donated $4,000 to the Senior Center in memory of his wife Ruth who attended
our Senior Center regularly.
On February 7, 2006, the Senior Commission received the above donation and
recommended acceptance by the City Council. A letter of appreciation has been sent on
behalf of the Recreation Department and the Carlsbad Senior Center to Ralph Zigler.
The Recreation Department requests that Council accept this donation and authorize the
Finance Director to deposit the $4,000 donation into the Senior Center Trust Fund
#14345675651.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The donation will increase the balance in the Senior Center Trust Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE DONATION
FROM RALPH ZIGLER TOTALING FOUR THOUSAND ($4,000)
DOLLARS IN SUPPORT OF THE CARLSBAD SENIOR CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, wishes to accept this donation
and acknowledge the generosity and support of Ralph Zigler in memory of his wife Ruth.
WHEREAS, on February 7, 2006 the Senior Commission recommended acceptance of donation
totaling $4,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby accept the donation totaling four thousand dollars ($4,000).
3. That the City Council authorizes the Finance Director to deposit the $4,000 donation into the
Senior Center Trust Account #14345675651.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held
on the 14th day of March , 2006 by the following vote, to wit:
