RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution NOS. 2006-172 , 2006-173 __ and 2006-174
appointing three members to the Historic Preservation Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of Don Christiansen expires in April 2006. Mr. Christiansen was originally
appointed to the Commission in October 1997 to fill an unexpired term. Mr. Christiansen
was subsequently reappointed in June 1998 and May 2002, and has served eight and one-
half years. He was appointed to represent the category requiring recognized expertise in
architecture, archeology, history, biology, engineering, geology, or a related field.
The term of German Gutierrez expires in April 2006. Mr. Gutierrez was originally appointed
in June 2003 to fill an unexpired term and has served three years. He was appointed to
represent the category that requires an interest in local history and service at-large from the
community.
The term of Connie Trejo also expires in April 2006. Ms. Trejo was originally appointed to
the Commission in October 1997 to fill an unexpired term. Ms. Trejo was subsequently
reappointed in June 1998 and May 2002, and has served eight and one-half years. She was
also appointed to represent the category that requires an interest in local history and service
at-large from the community.
Therefore the following appointments are required:
