HEAD ^-^H^ CITY ATTY. ^gzZ CITY MGR. -^^ RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2006-179 amending the Salary Schedule effective the pay period including July 1, 2006 for classifications represented by the Carlsbad Police Officers' Association. ITEM EXPLANATION: On October 21, 2002, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2002-319 approving an amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Carlsbad Police Officers' Association (CPOA). The term of the MOU is seven (7) years and will expire on December 31, 2007. The terms of the MOU with CPOA call for a 4% general wage increase effective the pay period including July 1, 2006. Therefore, attached is the revised salary schedule for classifications represented by the Carlsbad Police Officers' Association. FISCAL IMPACT: The annual cost of salary adjustments and related benefits is estimated at $540,000. Sufficient funds have been budgeted in the 2006/07 operating budget adopted June 20, 2006.
