RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-808 amending Section 21.05.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code
by an amendment to the Zoning Map to grant a Zone Change from Limited Control (L-C) to
Residential Density-Multiple with a Qualified Development Overlay (RD-M-Q) and Open
Space (OS) on a 14.4 acre site generally located on the west side of El Camino Real and
north of Dove Lane in Local Facilities Management Zone 21.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-808 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
June 27, 2006. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
See Agenda Bill No. 18,624 on file in the Office of the City Clerk.

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does ordain as follows:

SECTION I: That the City's Zoning Map is amended as shown on the map

marked Exhibit "ZC 04-06" attached hereto and made a part hereof, pursuant to Section
21.05.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code.

SECTION II: That the findings and conditions of the Planning Commission as
set forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 6057, constitute the findings and conditions of

the City Council.

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after
its adoption; and the city clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it
to be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Carlsbad within fifteen days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council on the 27th day of June, 2006, and thereafter
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad on the nth day of July , 2006, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Kulchln, Packard, Sigafoose
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
