RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-815 amending Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the addition of Section 10.28.860 to require a stop on Geranium Street at its
intersection with Mimosa Drive.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-815 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
September 12, 2006. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance,
which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance
published within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
See Agenda Bill No. 18,723 on file in the Office of the City Clerk.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE
4 STOPS ON MIMOSA DRIVE.
5 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
6 SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
7 by the addition of Section 10.28.860 to read as follows:
8 "10.28.860 Mimosa Drive. Drivers shall stop where the following
described streets intersect Mimosa Drive:

Geranium Street
JQ Lupine Road
Catalpa Road
1 I Aster Place."
12 EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption; and
13 the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in
14 a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.

the 12th day of September, 2006, and thereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 19th day of September, 2006, by the following vote:
